The Veridea Group has welcomed mBank, a $570 million-asset Upper Peninsula-headquartered financial institution, as the initial tenant for Phase I of its new Liberty Way development in Marquette. In recognition of its commitment as Liberty Way’s first anchor tenant, the Phase I building has been named the mBank Building. Serving as the bank’s regional offices, mBank will occupy approximately 20,000 square feet of space on three floors. mBank is the 17th largest out of 124 banks in the state of Michigan, and the largest bank headquartered in the Upper Peninsula.
“We are extremely pleased with the move of our banking operations in Marquette and being the anchor tenant in the new Liberty Way development,” stated Kelly George, mBank President and CEO. “The project came together very well under the Veridea Group’s direction. This consolidation of our two former Marquette locations will allow us to better provide an efficient, modern full service banking experience to our valued customers and provide the needed infrastructure to grow our operations. It is a strategic objective of mBank to reinvest in our U.P. communities, and this new facility is firm evidence of that. The entire mBank team is looking forward to serving Marquette County and its residents for many years in our new location.”
The Veridea Group’s new headquarters and the new Marquette offices of Myefski Architects occupy the third floor of the mBank Building.
“Partnering with mBank as our anchor tenant for Phase I allowed us to achieve our vision for Liberty Way’s initial phase,” commented Robert Mahaney, Veridea Group President. “Their commitment to the Marquette community and the Upper Peninsula echoes the Veridea Group’s philosophy of enhancing the communities in which we live and work while providing opportunities to our employees and business partners.”Back to News
