President

Robert (Bob) Mahaney is the founder and President of the Veridea Group. Bob has over 30 years of experience in real estate development and financing. Today his focus is primarily on defining Veridea’s vision and strategic objectives, identifying opportunities for Veridea and its capital partners, and developing its talented management team.

Bob’s professional career prior to Veridea included public accounting, corporate banking, investment management, and the successful start-up of several businesses. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Albion College in 1980, majoring in Economics/Accounting and Political Science, and received his Masters of International Management – Finance from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1984. Bob has received professional licenses as a certified public accountant, certified financial planner and real estate broker.

In December 2015, Bob was appointed to serve an 8-year term on the Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Mackinac Financial Corporation and mBank.  Bob’s community service includes positions as past chairman and board member of the Michigan Catholic Conference’s pension plans, past Chairman of the Diocese of Marquette School Board, and he is a founding member and past president of the Noquemanon Trail Network.
