KALISPELL, Mont. – The initial phases of the renovation of Kalispell’s Hilton Garden Inn and Conference Center have been completed, according to the Veridea Group, which purchased the property and assumed management duties earlier this year. The property will undergo a comprehensive renovation of all spaces, including guest rooms, public areas, the Conference Center and exterior. The restaurant, bar and casino complex will also receive extensive transformations and upgrades, including a new name and menu that will be announced in coming months. The $8 million project is being managed by InnSpace, a Kalispell-based hospitality construction firm.
The first phase focused on updating the building’s exterior with new paint and materials to reflect Hilton’s current design standards. Expansive new landscaping and flower beds created by Mountainside Landscaping of Kalispell were created throughout the hotel grounds. Additionally, new courtyards and gathering spaces were created, including an outdoor summer bar.
The second phase consisted of transforming and updating the Conference Center and Banquet Facilities. An entirely new interior façade and lighting was completed, state of the art audio-video systems installed, and new seating and tables are on order.
“We are very pleased with the progress to date on the transformation of the Hilton Garden Inn,” said Veridea President, Mary Mahaney. “A team of dedicated professionals have been engaged and continue to work tirelessly on this project. We believe these renovations will reinvigorate not only this property, but the community as well, and look forward to returning the Hilton Garden Inn to its status as the premier property in the Flathead Valley.”
The next phase is underway and includes complete renovations and new furnishings for all guest rooms. Guest rooms will undergo bathroom, flooring, lighting, furniture, technology upgrades, and more. The hotel and casino will remain open and operational during this work.
The final phase will involve the renovation of the lobby and public spaces, reopening of the restaurant and bar under a new name and concept, and a refresh of the Casino. Working with FoR Fine Art Gallery in Whitefish, new original artwork from local artists will be on display in the public areas throughout the hotel.
Completion of all work is scheduled for late Spring 2023. The new restaurant and bar will also open at that time.
