Veridea Group Announces Executive Promotions

Marquette, MI – The Veridea Group, LLC, an integrated commercial real estate development and management company, recently announced two executive-level promotions.

Mark Paupore, previously Director of Finance and Accounting, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer.  In his new position, Paupore will be responsible for all financial, accounting and capital-related affairs of the company.  Additionally, he will be integrally involved in Veridea’s strategic planning and development opportunities.

“Mark has been instrumental in the growth and success of Veridea since joining us in the Accounting Department seven years ago,” stated Mary D. Mahaney, Veridea’s President.  “Under his leadership we have developed exceptional financial reporting systems and analytical models and  built a strong accounting and finance staff. Mark has played a vital role in our ability to secure development capital and ensure that projects are financially successful.  We are delighted to make this promotion and are honored to have Mark as a member of our Executive Team.”

Veridea also promoted Mary D. Mahaney to the position of President, replacing CEO Robert Mahaney in that capacity.

“The appointment of Mary to this position is long overdue.  It recognizes her many contributions to Veridea as a co-founder and the broad array of responsibilities she carries at Veridea today,” stated  Robert Mahaney.  “Mary is largely the reason for Veridea’s success and placing her in this position helps assure our continued growth.”

Based in Marquette, Michigan, Veridea Group develops, owns and operates commercial real estate and lodging properties.  Focused primarily on secondary and tertiary markets from Michigan to Montana, the company has developed over 75 projects valued in excess of $300 million in mixed use, office, residential, and hotel properties.  Veridea specializes in downtown mixed use developments and such as its $42 million Liberty Way project in Marquette and the $50 million Houghton, Michigan Waterfront project currently under development  .
